We have had loads of applications already, but if you would like a stall make sure you get your applications into us by no later than 14th Aug :)

The Next Central Bazaar Craft Fair Wrexham! Sat 11th Sept 2010

Hey everyone!

We are very happy to announce the next Central Bazaar is taking place on Saturday 11th Sept 2010 at Yales Cafe Bar/Central Station, Hill Street, Wrexham.

If you don't know already, Central Bazaar is a modern take on the traditional craft fair, incorporating a wide variety of styles presented in a huge variety of handicrafts including vintage inspired home-crafts, music offerings and mixed media artworks, as well as Wrexham's only opportunity to browse, try and buy vintage clothing and accessories. Central Bazaar has been created to offer Wrexham’s creative community the opportunity to help promote and inspire each other.

Central Bazaar is an exciting shopping opportunity for the people of Wrexham and beyond to get hold of something really interesting and unique. All the items on sale have been produced by the people behind the stall in their homes or studios, so if you want something different as a gift or a treat make sure you get there in September.

HOW TO GET A STALL:

If you are an artist, crafter, photographer, knitter or want to showcase any other creative talents and would like a stall then please get in touch.

We will be accepting applications for stalls until the 14th August then after that date we will confirm who we can offer stalls to at this event. The reason we use this simple application process is because we want to offer as much variety as possible to our events. Rather than just accepting stalls on a first come first serve basis as most other event organisers do we give everyone and equal chance to get a stall then let everyone know who has been successful.

Central Bazaar Street Team on the streets of Wrexham!!

Today the central bazaar street team hit wrexham city centre! Dressed in awesome Central Bazaar tshirts and manned with hundreds of flyers and posters. It was a gorgous day, the sun was shining and the streets were packed with people. We had a great day and a good respoce and quickly ran out of flyers.

We will be out again during the week so keep your eyes peeled for us and don't be afraid to come and say hi if you see us!

The Applications Are In

All the applications are in now and everything we've seen has been so beautifully made, so Emma and I are struggling to pick the stall holders. With limited space of 20 tables it looks like we're going to have to expand again next time. This just keeps getting bigger and bigger. We are really pleased to be able to offer some of the people we turned away for the last fair a space at the upcoming date on May 29th.

We're also super excited to have Doodlezine coming along with a stall.

Keep an eye out for updates on stall holders as we confirm them.
Also, here is our lovely new handmade poster, the design is courtesy of Mike at the music stall with a few additions from myself. It still needs a bit of a tweak but i love the design.

Exciting News! Central Bazaar no.2 - 29th May!

We are really excited to annouce the date of the next Central Bazaar at Yales Cafe Wrexham... Sat 29th May 11am-4pm!

We have made some changes to the event from the last one in march and this one is going to be bigger and better! With even more craft, vintage clothing, music and art plus live accoustic music from bands from accross north wales and cheshire

Anyone out there who would like a table at the event in May or artists who want to display their work or any bands who want to put CD's on our music table then please send us an email at craftbazaar@hotmail.co.uk

Less than a week to go.

We're now completely full. No more tables or wall space. (although we're still accepting CD's)

We've done the radio. We've got the posters up. The flyers are all around wrexham town.
This week is going to be all about raising awareness so tell all your friends.

Andy Hickie and his very own brand of acoustic folk rock.
Heal the Last Stand with euphoric harmonies and profound sentiments
Meilir Tomos who plays piano, guitar, sings & creates other noises leaving us with some haunting experimental folk.

There's something for the folk/acoustic lovers but that's not everyones bag so we've also got...

Polly Mackey And The Pleasure Principle who have returned to Texas this week to play SXSW festival for the second year running.
The Roseville Band who in april will be embarking on their first european tour to share their soulful, bluesy rock with the rest of the continent.
Mother of Six difficult to give a genre they are bass heavy Sabbath riffs with epic, Cornell style vocals. Reminiscent in places of the mighty Loop, but also factoring in some ambient, doom laden industrial clanking.

There you go, have some ear candy. And remember, all these bands and artists are from the local area. Wrexham is a talented place.

Calon FM Interview!

Hey Everyone,

Sue and I have just got back from our LIVE interview on Calon FM! It was all very exciting and was great to promote the event. We were on the lunch time show this afternoon from 1pm to 2pm.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to CalonFM for having us on their show and also for the lovely cups of tea. Plus the huge amount of support from everyone we spoke to today about the event.

The weekend will be bringing lots of leafleting through out Wrexham town centre, so look out for us!

Vintage at Central Bazaar Wrexham

We are pleased to confirm that Voila Vintage, a wonderful vintage shop from Shrewsbury will be part of our line up of amazing stalls at our Central Bazaar on 20th March (11am - 4pm)

Melanie and Leanne who run Voila Vintage have always enjoyed collecting vintage clothing and vintage accessories. They are avid wearers of vintage clothes too of course! And in February 2007 they opened Voila Vintage in The Parade Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury, to provide all manner of vintage ladies fashions from the 1920s to the 1980s.

We're getting very excited about the craft fair now. It's coming around so quickly.
We're also so pleased about the amount of great talent that has contacted us. We have so many interesting and unique crafters and artists coming along to showcase their work.

Our first event is here!

We are very excited to announce our first Central Bazaar Craft Fair Event.

You will be able to come and visit us at our fair on:

20th March 2010
Central Station (entrance through Yales Cafe Bar)
opening hours 10:30am - 4.30pm

We have had lots of great artsists/crafters/bands involved already but we're still looking for people to make the day even more interesting.
If you're interested in holding a stall or putting your CD on our music stall e-mail Emma & Suzanne craftbazaar@hotmail.co.uk with the following information

-Your name
-Type of items you want to sell
-Your website address if you have one.

We have two table options available. Option one is a 5ft table that you will have to yourself, this costs £10. Option two is a table share where you will share a table with another person this costs £5; this option is great for people who have limited stock, just starting out or who only need a small space to sell their items.
